Theme FX Packages For s60v5
If you want to just add 1 effect then do this but default FX will no longer work.
first you need to copy z-resource-skins-101f84b9-101f84b9.sel to c-resource-skins-101f84b9-101f84d9.sel if the folders are not there then make them
then just copy the downloaded folders to the root of c
and apply the c2z patch and go to themes-general-options and turn fx off then on again
C2z for n97 (place in patches folder):
smooth rotate fx(*must have*):
particle fx all menus and home screen
you can edit the .png files with paint and make them any color you want

all effects packs in this download are using the turbo manifest for smoothe effects,this works best for the 5800 but n97 and 8910hd users replace the turbo manifest for the super turbo manifest for even smoother effects

Here they are......2 versions of 'Swerve', a mix of various effects packages but it mainly consists of the excellent 'Swanky'!
The only difference in the two packages is the effects when exiting the menu and opening an open app, the effects are just swapped around on 'Swerve 2'.

right ive been playing around, trying to get effects running as smoothe as i can, its nothing special, but it does run smoother.
its got a modded manifest specially for n97 v20, doesnt mean to say this pack wont work on other phones, but ive cut a lot of kml's out that dont agree with the kinetic scrolling and further reduced recourses.

Enable theme effects on the N97 (works on 5800XM too)
Guide on how to install theme FX
First step is to have your phone hacked, there are many guides on the forum for that, you have to use HelloOX2 from helloox2.com, download it, and sign it using a 17 cap devcert
To get a devcert use this short guide to obtain one from opda.net.cn
Click this bar to view the original image of 800x1118px.
1. Open up ROMpatcher and enable the open4all patch
2. Download the theme effects that you want to use
3. Open up X-Plore or Y-Browser (or any other preferred file explorer)
4. Zip the downloaded effects and send them via BT/USB
5. Copy 101f84b9 from Z:/resource/skins to C:/resource/skins (note that some effects already have the files in the downloaded file)
Nokia 5800 users, copy the skins folder from Z:/resource/skins and don't overwrite it with the one included in the zip file, thanks Mr G
6. Locate the file you just copied and extract effects and skins folders to C:/resource/
7. Copy the C2Z patch to E:/Patches (download from C2Z patch: )

Nokia N97 users who have updated to v12 have to use this C2Z patch
The old version would crash the phone! DO NOT use it

8. Close the files manager and open up ROMpatcher (if it's already open, close it and reopen it)
9. Enable the C2Z patch and add it to auto start
10. Go to Settings -> Themes -> General -> Options -> Theme Effects -> On (if they're already on then turn them off then on)
The FX should be applied. If ROMpatcher is working properly then the effects will be enabled automatically at each start

1. In which phones do these Effect Packs work and with which Firmware ?
2. What do i need to do so i can have these Effects to work in my phone ?
3. Ok,i have a hacked phone and a C2z patch working , now what ?
4. I would like to check the other Theme Fx as well and i can't delete the Effects folder.

All of them are working fine with 5800 and N97 with any firmware you might have (although might be a bit laggy if you pick a full package like "NeedforWeed" or "Starscream" while using other apps)
2. What do i need to do so i can have these Effects to work in my phone ?
a.First of all you have to download either X-plorer or Y-browser :

b.Now you need a hacked phone. A Simple/Fast Guide :

Note : While installing HelloOx you will be asked if you want to install "Rompatcher" , press Yes.It will install Rompatcher and a file named "Patches" in your e: folder.You don't need to install Modo if you don't want to.
If you are not willing to pay and have this app signed you can get your Certificate from OPDA and sign it through this guide
(You will be able to sign any application after getting this Certificate) :

c.Now that you have your phone hacked and Rompatcher working you need to create the famous C2z patch (there is a possibility to have some lag,bugs with this patch,leetut is working on it so in the near future might not be needed , will keep updating)

Or if this doesn't work for you,you can create your own C2z patch in that way : Download this :
You need to copy the file 'Z:\sys\bin\EFSrv.dll' on your phone to e:\ or anywhere you want, just to get it on your pc.
Then put this dll in the c2z folder (the folder you downloaded)and hit the c2z.exe. That should make you a c2z.rmp in the same folder.Take this one for e:\patches. That sould be it ^^ Thanx to wadowice

You can choose which Theme FX Packs you want to have in your phone and download them.
Extract and copy/paste the whole folder somewhere in your Mass Memory (NOT phone memory) where you will put several packs with Theme Fx with Pc Suite or Mass Storage etc.
The files you downloaded will have either 1 or 2 files inside "Effects" and "Skins".
Imo better Disable C2z and turn Theme Effects off.
Then after those files are already in your Mass Memory use X-plorer/Y-Browser and Copy/Paste the folders "Effects" & "Skins" to C:\Resource\ (if any of the files doesn't have a Skins folder just c/p it from another file you have downloaded).
Now go back to Rompatcher , enable C2z patch and Turn Theme Effects on.
Enjoy.
4. Awsome but i would like to check the other Theme Fx as well and i can't delete the Effects folder :s
Disable C2z , turn theme effects off , go to x-plorer/y-browser and delete Effects + Skins folder (or only Effects) and c/p the new folders from the other pack you want to test.Then go back enable C2z and turn theme effects on.
If this doesnt work turn C2z off and restart your phone (personally i don't have C2z added to auto) , then you will be able to delete them.
5. GG but i want to get some specific transitions from every single pack , how can i do that ?
Thank's to dscobsct there is a list of what is every .kml file do so what you have to do is Disable C2z patch , turn theme effects off , go to C:\Resource\Effects\ find the specific effect you want to change (which means the specific .kml file) and delete it , then go where you saved the other effects you want to have , c/p it back and you are done.(Or just simply c/p it back and overwrite it).
The List :
(NOTE : Some .kml files may need specific .png files (picture files) to work so if you choose to get them you have to open them and check the name of the .png they use , which means you have to c/p the .png files as well. If you want to change the picture of the .png make your own and just name it as it is written inside the .kml file)

Theres also a folder with effects (effects for effects) that i really like that i've taken from effects packages that can be put into others.
Theres also an app loader folder in the above folder with various app loaders in, these will need to be renamed if you want to use them.

Try starting phone with out c2z on or set to auto , then go to rompatcher turn c2z on , then go to theme fx turn off then on
and then go to rompatcher again and turn c2z off.

Don't use the Kastor UI patch , don't even download it.Just extract the effects folder and paste it in C\Resource\effects, apply C2Z, themes effects off then on again and job done.
Usual Mistakes/Issues in little words
Copy/Pasted to the wrong folder (don't ask..)
Forgot to enable C2z/turn theme fx off and on
Deleted the files but the effects are still there/can't delete the files -> turn C2z off , reboot your phone.
Wrong C2z file ? Make a new one.
RAM died , phone crashed .. Welcome to Nokia , get your **** and get out ^^

Suggestion : If you want to have all of the packs in your Mass Memory but you don't want to watch all the .png files in your photo Browser make every folder .rar and get the .rar App to exctract them wherever you want.

So you want to take all the effects you like from different packs and put them all together in one uber personal effects
pack. firstly you will need to know the names and targets of each kml (effect file) in the effects folder,

remember though that if you replace an appstart or appstartrect with an apploader

all the others are pretty much effects that have to be modded individually, that doesnt
mean that you cant experiment with copy/pasting code from other effects into these kmls.
to swap a kml simply find the effect that you want to replace and copy its name to the effect that you want
to use in its place, its as simple as that

you can also edit the kml's to produce different effects,
a simple example to get you started,
usually effects from switching from one window to another consist of an effect for the window you were in and an effect for the window you are opening, some effects are more complex but this is the most common,

when you are using an effect with an apploader, the apploader IS the effect for the first window, just incase you get confused.

if for example it says screen.height but you want it to be half of screen height put *0.5 after screen.height like this screen.height*0.5
so theres a good start anyway, hope it makes a little sense, if you know html and css it will be a breeze, but i think it will take a bit of time to get your head around it even with these pointers but it is good fun seeing the results you produce. i tend to edit the kml's with xplore straight from inside c\resourse\effects, all you have to do then is re apply c2z and theme effects to see your results, no messing, unless it a big job your trying then its best to stick with the pc, i will update this post as i go along dudes
Modding particle effects.
if you want to add your own particles to your theme effects pack, its very easy to make your own images appear on your phone screen.
ive put together a folder containing the kml's for having particles on the different screens and menus together with the images

decide where you want your particles, for example lets use them on the homescreen, go into the folder for homescreen and open the kml in notepad, have a look what the name of the image used is, now get the image that you want to use, open it in a photo editing application like photoshop, or even microsoft paint will do if your knowledge is basic, do what you fancy to your image and save it as a .png
your image can range from 1 pixel to about 200 pixels in width and height, i dont suggest making them bigger than this as results are not so good, i tend to stick to about 40 to 60 pixels for tidy results.

when you are finished making your images, you have saved them as .png's in the right size, you have edited the kml's of the effects you just copy and overwrite the same kml's in c\resourse\effects and reactivate c2z and theme effects to see your results.
in the needforweed pack i used an effect with a leaf that flashes quickly between screens.

to do this i used an image i made the same resolution as the screen, in shades of gray, i dont think that this particular effect supports a colour image, it has a fill colour which it applies over the image so you can replace it with another picture but keep it black and white

the colours are in html code, you can see some of which code is used for which colour here

remember to always save your work as you go along and backup what you overwrite incase you dont like the results you can just re overwrite.

I tried e2z patch in my 5233 smetme it wrk then i 4rmt my phne nw i do step by step but just feel nrmal theme . I cant get ful effct. Help me plz
